1/2 Hour News Hour

O.k. I know this is a late comment, but am I the only one a little disappointed by FOX's new show? I know it's only had what, four episodes and it takes time to find an audience, but it could be better. Also, I was incorrect on the name (the proposed "The Nightly Show") and potential hosts (either Dennis Miller or Danny Bonaduchi ) Even "Seinfeld" took three years to make a move in the ratings, not that I'm comparing the phenomenon that was "Seinfeld" to the 1/2 Hour News Hour, but it has gotten better in the recent episodes (not to sound contradictory) and I think it deserves a chance. I do love the way a lot of lefties are "offended" by it, though. They must be doing something right.

UPDATE: The 1/2 Hour News Hour has had only two episodes and have already been in reruns. Thanks to Amy Proctor for the correction.

Just watch Countdown where you can get the real news. What did Fox banner say when the verdict came out on Scooter? Not guilty instead of Guilty on four counts

Honestly, I think the concept is great, but they've done nothing in the last month but post reruns. I think the idea of satirizing the left is brilliant and if they do it right there's a huge market for it.

The problem is that Fox is incorporating liberal dressing on their programming. They have infobabes in short leather skirts and the 1/2 hour news hour, at least the last one in particular (they only have 2 episodes), was way too sexualized. My daughter watched the first week and I'm glad I didn't let her see the second.

I hope Fox gets a handle because there's a large market for poking fun at the left.

After Lord of the Rings came out, a slew of movies imitading ancient time periods with battles between good and evil were produced over the next few years. They ALL flopped. Why? They incorporated modern morals in a noble setting, totally screwing the concept. People don't want to go to a better time that the movie makers have corrupted with 21st cenutry sleeze... LOTR was so successful aside from the profound message of good vs. evil and all that surrounded it, but also because of chivalry, intense and passionate friendship, loyalty and fidelity.

This is the problem, as I see it, with the 1/2 hour news hour. They're taking a potenitally desired topic, mocking liberalism, and clothing it in.... liberalism.

I hope they catch on before it's too late and the show sinks.

PS... the Countdown isn't news; it's propaganda. I can assure you Fox News got it right on the Libby case. I watched the news as it developed and Fox was on the cutting edge.

Not like Clinton though. Boy that guy was the epitome of truth telling, huh? What was he impeached for again? Oh, right, lieing to a grand jury and obstruction of justice. By the way you do realize Libby was not convicted of any crime. He was convicted for having a bad memory. Ask me (since you obviously get your soundbites from the Clinton News Network and have absolutely no clue) what exactly was he indicted on?
You lefty whackos and your double standards truly never cease to amaze me.
