47 Million Year-Old Monkey Fossil Found...The Link to Evolution?
If proven true, this at least may answer one question man has been asking for centuries...how do you account for a 50 million-year gap in the theory of evolution?
However, my other question is, if we evolved from monkies and apes, how come monkies and apes still exist today?

Natural Selection.
The species can and will advance within it's environment, or it can remain at level with same.
As humans advance and learn/teach, we advance in our evolution. 100 years ago we lived in mere shacks and farmhouses. We now can live in concrete structures with all the amenities.
Apes, other than those in captivity, are living in jungles where there is little, if any, change.
OUR branch of the 'Tree Of Life' has merely evolved in a different path than the animals.
OUR branch of the 'Tree Of Life' has merely evolved in a different path than the animals. How did that evolution occur? In other words, you didn't really answer my question.
As a recent comment by a up and coming conservative "pundit," said, every life has a DNA structure, a program, a code. All of which have an author and we're no different. You can argue who or what that author is, but I digress.
I don't have any idea who (or what) the author is of the DNA Code, nor can I explain why specific evolutionary traits happen.
It is a mystery FAR beyond my knowledge.
