Scandal on Both Sides

Except the difference is one is a hypocrite who resigned, the other is a liar who is continue to embarrass himself and his constituents with continued lies. Which one do you think is a Democrat and which one is a Republican?

One, Republican Representative from Indiana, Mark Souder was having an affair with a part-time staff member. He is an obvious hypocrite because of his stance on abstinence, as well as cheating on his wife. He met with GOP Chairman, Michael Steele and resigned.

Meanwhile Democrat, Attorney General of Connecticut, Richard Blumenthal lied numerous times over the years about serving in Vietnam. He did in fact enlist in the Marine Reserve, but never went to Vietnam as a soldier and certainly never saw combat. Documents prove he is a liar, yet he continues to try and mislead people about his non-service by saying he won't allow anyone to "impugn his service."
If you notice this part of the story, "Mr. Blumenthal, 64, is known as a brilliant lawyer who likes to argue cases in court and uses language with power and precision. He is also savvy about the news media and attentive to how he is portrayed in the press."
That means he knew what the press was writing about him because (not unlike 99% of politicians that are narcissists) he keeps up on what they're saying about him. Therefore he knew what the press were saying and what people were reading about him, yet he consciencely decided to let the lies continue.

But isn't this just typical about the differences when scandals happen to Republicans and Democrats. One party either dispatches with the guilty member or he/she resigns on their own, while the other holds on to power, backed by the criminal-coddling DNC and the liberal media; John Murtha, Robert Byrd, William Jefferson to name but a few.

I guess you can't blame them entirely. Some blame has to go to the idiots who keep voting these people back into office. But I always get a good laugh out of those who try to label the Republicans with being the party of scandal (and they've had more than their fair share) while continually protecting by lying, cheating, thieving Democrats (just like child molesters, terrorists, cop killers, etc) The list goes on and on.

Like I said...typical.

His excuse..he "misspoke."
Yeah right.
"I will not allow anyone to take a few misplaced words and impugn my record of service to our country."
Again, he knew what the press had recorded what he had said and never bothered to correct the record. So, nobody is impugning his record of service. He did that himself.
