Bad News is No News

Back in 2006, when the Republicans were losing massive amounts of seats in both chambers of Congress due to the economy, the media's take on the war and how it could really help the Democrats seize power during a tumultuous time in America, the MSM was all over the TV and newspapers and at the heels of ant-war Dems to get any story to demonize the war, Bush and the GOP. Any story. Even ones that were fabrications from start to finish.

But since 2006, when the Democrats took over Congress with a large majority, thanks to the media's manipulation, misinformation and bias; the economy has nearly collapsed (much worse under Bush and the Republicans) and media has said not one negative word towards the Dems-in charge of everything (remember: THEY WON!) especially the war in Afghanistan.

However, as Victor Davis Hanson of Townhall points out, no such furor surrounds Afghanistan.
Why the silence? Could it possibly be because there's an election in two weeks? For months before the 2006 elections all we heard about were the deaths in "Bush's War."

As far as the media and the people in the White House, it apparently still is. Except that they'll credit Obama with any sort of "good news" and blame Bush who has been out of office for two years, with anything bad, and will continue to do so. Especially now since the Dems are in real trouble come Nov. 2.

So really, nothing new here.
