More Desperate Revionism from Matthews and Carter

As truly pathetic as this is, it's the one thing libs do that never gets boring. Idiotic? Yes. Annoying and predictable? Yes. But always entertaining.

Former Carter employee and proverbial revisionist (like all MSNBC hosts) Chris "Tingle" Matthews actually sat there and let ol' Smilin' Jimmy Carter lie to the American people (not that anyone was fooled by it-save for the 10 people actually watching this) when he actually said that the reason he was utterly destroyed (my words-but more closer to actuality) by Ronald Reagan in 1980 was because of the third party candidacy of John Anderson, the closet "rival" to Reagan other than Carter; who only received 6.61% of the popular vote with no electoral votes. Second to him was Edward Clark, who garnered 1.06 of the popular vote, also with no electoral votes. So yep, that's what brought down Carter, a third party siphoning off votes from him. Because it was so close if it wasn't for that third (and fourth) parties, Carter would have actually had a chance. Did you get that? It wasn't because of the crippled economy. It wasn't because of a gas shortage. It certainly wasn't Carter's enabling of radical Islam to take hold in Iran and put us in the pickle we are now with Islamic terrorism or his failure to secure the release of 444 hostages. Nope, it was because of a third party candidate.

"...because, for two-and-a-half years, Ted Kennedy had been running against me. And in the last minute, a third-party candidate came in and picked up a lot of the liberal Democratic votes.
And, as a matter of fact, Ronald Reagan only got less than 51 percent of the votes, but he won because of a third-party candidate."

Right. It wasn't the fact that Reagan got over half of the voting public to trust him with the presidency, it was because of a third party that Carter's pathetic administration came to an end.

Liberals. Is there anything they won't say?
