Recovered Bin Laden Letters Show A Divided al Qaeda

Recently released letters to and from the deceased former leader of al Qaeda Usama bin Laden show the terror group with cells and affiliates the world over was in disaray and in decline.

Via the New York Times.  Certain letters reveal bin Laden's plan to assassinate President Obama and General David Patreaus.  The killing of Obama, bin Laden figured, would leave the "utterly unprepared" Vice-President Joe Biden to govern a nation in a crisis.

However, according to many terrorism experts and analysts, such as in this piece from the USA Today, al Qaeda is "far from defeated."
