Remember This?

I do. I was only six when this was published, yet it continued well into the early 8o's. That is until the mighty Goracle needed a cash-cow. I even saw a reference to it recently on a re-run of Three's Company. The same ferver, paranoia and fear mongering was used back then when it came out. Why the change of opinion and/or "facts" for something that was "indisputable" back then? Simple. Greed, government funding ands lies. Have these clowns ever heard of the term "cyclical?"

What happens when the tide turns and another cooling trend starts? The same as it did back then. No apolgy from the "experts" and absolutely no admission of any misleading information.
Oh I know, "We didn't know as much then as we know now. Technology is much more advanced." Well, so are con-men like Al Gore. Not in the intelligent sense, just manipulative.

Did you notice the top of the cover where it says, "Why We Can't Beat the Soviets?" Are these clowns right on anything?

And as I sometimes do, I'd like to re-print a comment from a reader of Gateway Pundit:

AGW — as it is pushed and narrated by those with a political agenda — is, for all intents and purposes, a fraud. It isn’t about science. AGW activists have hijacked environmentalism for their own ends.
A few weeks before Climategate, a group of scientists who believe in AGW, or at least “GW,” warned the more ardent, alarmist and strident AGW believers to stop citing regular, normal weather cycles, including extreme weather, as “proof” of “Global Warming,” or “Climate Change.” They tried to explain that any warming that may or may not be going on wouldn’t necessarily dramatically alter weather patterns in the near term.

THIS is why meterologists are skeptics. They know weather, and the historical patterns over time. We are being fed hysteria by activists, politicians, and financial interests who want to profit from the panic; if we follow through on the draconian, ill-conceived Cap & Trade and other insane legislation, it will be an invitation to the worst corruption humanity has ever seen. Any actual warming that may be going on is more likely the result of Earth doing a slaw crawl out of the so-called “Little Ice Age,” and will not result in cataclysms except possibly at the margins.
Humanity has lived through milder periods than ours (that’s right, what may be going on is a “milding,” not a catastrophic “warming”), during the Bronze Age, the High Middle Ages, and perhaps other periods. Arctic ice has melted and re-formed time and again in modern times, as newspaper accounts from 1881, 1921, ‘33′ 35′, etc. have attested to.

On top of everything else, the “Climategate” affair exposed incredibly sloppy record-keeping, dubious and undisciplined statistical models, crude computer modeling that didn’t even make use of supercomputers, plus we now find that the weather stations and remote-sensing stations in many places world-wide are appalingly maintained and neglected, and the data from many were not even factored into the supposed statistical “proof.” And some weren’t even altered to account for the heat-island effect (they’re no longer in “remote” areas due to suburban sprawl).
If this were a court case, the AGW case “judge” would have to declare a “mistrial,” because of both tampering with the evidence, and “police” and “prosecutorial” “incompetence and misconduct.” Like an actual court case where the “defendant” (“AGW”) may actually be “guilty,” the case has to be thrown out and retried. There is no sense in demanding policies costing trillions of dollars that will have a more profound effect on human activity than any possible “global warming” might if the evidence has been tampered with.
