Oil Cleanup Solution?

I know you have to plug the well before you can do this (nuke it like the Russians did so it collapses on itself-yes a lot of marine damage and wildlife death-but what do you think is happening now?) but for the clean-up, could it be this simple?

You can call these guys "hicks" if you wish, but they it seems pretty ingenious to me.
