The Debt Ceiling Debate is the Republicans Fault Although Obama Lied about the Facts

Once again president Obama is playing fast and loose with the facts to receive the pity and admiration of the media to sell his case to the American people for Congress to raise the debt ceiling.
Obama told CBS news, "I cannot guarantee that those checks go out on August 3rd if we haven't resolved this issue. Because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it." In essence the media jumped all over this and didn't bat an eye or have yet to question the president on the validity of his numbers. News anchor Scott Pelley sure didn't.

Of course this gave the lefties in the media the green light to do Obama's bidding and to smear Republicans at every given turn. You've heard all the arguments so far right?
"Is there any way this deal gets done without the Republicans compromising somewhat on taxes?" Matt Laurer asked Laura Ingram. MSNBC's Morning Joe co-host, Mika Brzezinski said, "I think the Republicans look stupid and mean." Newsweek editor, Tina brown said of the Republicans, "I think they’re the suicide bombers in all of this." Also, the Republicans are now "scorched Earth' leaders that "want to destroy everything."

And so on. That's just a smidgen of the Obamedia doing their usual part to raise the president to the level of a demigod once again. Nothing has changed since the days of Ronald Reagan as president or Newt Gingrich:

"The American people have failed to realize that they have a responsibility in all of this. But one of the reasons is that for ten years, Republicans in the White House, first Ronald Reagan and then George Bush, have been telling them they don't have to pay for what they get." -- Andrea Mitchell, October 12, 1990 Nightly News.

"Many of those interviewed described the budget dilemma as partisan war, with the Democratic Congress trying valiantly to protect the interests of the little people against a pull-out-all-the-stops assault on spending by Daddy-Warbucks Republicans."-- Washington Post staff writer Guy Gugliotta in October 6, 1990 news story on public reaction as gauged by Post reporters.

Bob Squier, Democratic Strategist: "I think that it was a game of chicken. I think what you had was Gingrich, who is supposed to be part of the leadership, leading people literally out of the deal."
Bryant Gumbel: "Acting irresponsibly...Is this the legacy of Ronald Reagan politics, I mean, feel-good politics of the '80s, no-responsibility politics of the '80s?"Roger Ailes, Republican Strategist: "I think that's a misnomer..."
Gumbel: "But weren't the '80s about spending what we didn't have? And that was Ronald Reagan."-- Exchange on Today, October 5, 1990.

Like I said, nothing has changed in the eyes of the liberal media. EVERYTHING is the Republicans fault.
Of course, they all have chosen to ignore the actual numbers, provided by CNSNews.com via the official Treasury Reports.

Does anyone in the media do their frickin' jobs anymore?

What really gets me is the media still want to shill for this failing president when their hero and "brilliant" economist that the left dreams him to be (at the expense of the unemployed and deficit) has triple the deficit, wants to raise the debt ceiling to cover his failings and then, of course, blame everything on the GOP. You know the media will do everything they can to make that dream a reality, but with rampant unemployment, and an ever-growing deficit; will the American people fall for it again. I mean other than lefty ignoramuses?
