Ed Schultz "Pours Gasoline All Over His Fire" of Lies About Palin

Sgt. Schultz is at it again. Seriously, I can't for the life of me figure out why he hasn't been taken to the woodshed a la Jason Blair for his repeated, easily provable and malicious lies. Once again he's gone after his favorite target Sarah Palin for who he says is responsible for "ginning up hatred in this country."

Schultz started by showing his tiny audience a poll result by Public Policy Polling that shows the citizens of Mississippi and Alabama think that President Obama is a Muslim by a percentage score of 52 per cent to 45 per cent, respectively. He then chastised Palin for the causation of these numbers because of a scene in the misinformation-filled HBO film, Game Change that had Julianne Moore as Palin asked Woody Harrelson (Steve Schmidt) if she could start talking about Rev. Jeremiah Wright and domestic terrorist Bill Ayers. Harrelson told her to speak with McCain (Ed Harris). What Schultz didn’t show his viewers (as per his usual Michael Moore school of manipulative editing and omission) was that in the film, the campaign team discussed Palin's request and it was decided by McCain himself that Wright would be completely hands off, but Ayers would be free game. There was absolutely nothing in Game Change about the McCain campaign attacking Obama's religious beliefs, which is one of the few truths in an otherwise blatant misrepresentation of history that is this Palin hit piece.

So yeah, He chose to use a fictional bio-pic as a source of information and then relay that to his audience. That should give you a small sense of his "journalistic" know-how. He then went on to show a clip of Obama in a 2008 stump speech saying, "When we start using religion as a bludgeon in politics, when we start questioning other people's faith, we start using religion to divide instead of bring the country together, then I think we've got a problem."

To no one's surprise, Schultz didn't pick up on the irony.

The Sarge then went on his high-horse with this little quip, "Sarah Palin poured gasoline all over this fire. She helped start the misinformation campaign." The main problem with that little opinion (which I'm sure he stayed up all thinking of) is that it was, as everyone should know by now, Hillary Clinton's campaign that leaked a photo of Barack Hussein Obama in Muslim garb during the 2008 primaries. Palin would not even be announced as John McCain's running mate for another six months. But as Schultz has proved time and time again, facts don't matter to him. The only thing that does is slandering and demonizing conservatives, especially conservative women, anyway he can.

This is how the MSM will use Game Change. Much like quotes attributed to Rush Limbaugh that were never uttered by him (that were originally published on Wikipedia, the great bastion of journalistic resource) quotes by Tina Fey attributed to Palin that she never said and other misquoted or made up things liberals use against Republicans and Conservatives all the time. Again, it amazes me that NBC Universal has no interest in reporting the facts. Sometimes I really wonder if the NBC brass just keep hacks like Schultz, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews and Al Sharpton on the air so they can laugh at them with their wives over a late dinner. I know I do.

At least he wasn't audacious and smug enough, at least on this night, to claim a whopper of a fallacy like one of his partners in crime, the aforementioned Maddow had the gall to.
Still, give him time. Maybe one day he'll accidentally get something right.
