Just a quick reminder on how the old media (that is to say the new MSM) loves to jump on Republican mistakes in speech (i.e President Bush, Dan Quale and the "potatoe" incident) and totally ignore Democrat ones.

If you said it would fill the front pages of the New York Times, Newsweek and be the lead story on the major networks as well as the Cannibal Commie Network (If you get the Ted Turner, "global warming/cannibal" remark)for days on end, light up that stogy!
People make mistakes, pure and simple. The only thing is, the MSM doesn't qualify Republicans as people.
