Obama Wants Control of Banks

Plain and simple. Why else would he refuse $340 million of TARP payback money. Well, it's kind of like a landlord who wants the undesirable out of his building. You just simply refuse his rent money. You want to keep control of who you rent to. The same thing here, President Obama wants to maintain control of the banks, so, he refuses any attempt at payback. WSJ's Stuart Varney also seems to think so. It was the first thing that entered my head when I heard about it.

So what's his excuse? Power, baby. Pure, unadulterated power.

Regulating the banks is necessary.

Yeah, sure. So is regulating how and where you get medical treatment, how much you can earn, where you can smoke (if you CHOOSE to) talk radio (pardon me, that's only conservative talk-radio) and the internet for starters. Hey, how about "regulating" where you send your kids to school, what they can learn and who's side they're being indoctrinated by?

And while I'm at it, since when did the President become an expert on corporate financial planning? Doesn't it give you just a slight tinge down your back (as opposed to a tingle up your leg) that Obama and Geitner want to be owners of all Corporate America?
That's just scary, man.

Stop all the fear-mongering.
He's not trying to control EVERYTHING, only the ones drastically out of control.

Fear mongering? Call it a rant if you wish, but is it fear-mongering to tell people the bloody obvious? You want to talk about fear-mongering? Talk to Al Gore and how he's making little kids cry about the "poor penguins." Or the polar bears being a "threatened" species-even though their numbers have grown 25% since 1974, but I digress.

As for your claim that he only wants to control the ones "drastically out of control," isn't that telling enough, for one? Two, he's been quoted as saying he intends to CONTROL, not help or fix, but CONTROL ANY big corporate company and/or financial system or company that he FEELS is getting out of control.

THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS OF A PRIVATE COMPANY IN A CAPITALISTIC SOCIETY.

Capice?
