More Dangerous Placating to Islamists from the U.N.
A shocking, yet not surprising column from Christopher Hitchens.
When is the world going to learn? Everyone from the current president of the United States to the United Nations thinks that if we're nice to them and just give them what they want, they'll learn to like us and end their fascist, evil ways. And this garbage is being sunk into the brains of the impressionable youth that occupy North America's colleges, universities and high schools. Even after multitudes of independent and alternative media sources showing the despicable and unmistakable evil deeds of these zealots, wahabbists that are teaching American, Canadian and English students still maintain that their rape torture and murder is justified. It hasn't gotten them anywhere in the 30 years since the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian hostage taking of 1979, but they and their followers (including those same wahabbists) seem to think so.
They fall back on imagined American imperialism, dictatorship-like administrations and bias and ignorant media to manipulate the young and impressionable. The Lebanon-Israeli war of 2006 showed us all we need to know about that, what with the AP's repeated "Fauxtography" scandals and whatnot.
Hitchens may be an atheist (or whatever he's being labeled as these days) but in the areas of politics and educating the unabashedly ignorant, he knows what he's talking about.
