American Servicemen March on Red Square

A Cold War victory parade? I never thought I'd see this in my lifetime. Anyone who lived through the Cold War era has to be thinking the same thing. Actually it was a celebration of the Allies victory over the Nazis in World War II. Still, it's the first time U.S, French and British forces have had military parades in the heart of Russia.

Pretty cool, huh? But, um, where were the Canadians and Australians?

Apparently some inside of "Mother Russia" are not all that happy about it:

"Author Alexander Prokhanov, editor in chief of the nationalist Zavtra daily, called the appearance of U.S. servicemen in Red Square a national humiliation.
'The fact that American troops are trampling underfoot the cobblestones of Red Square is a huge shame and humiliation for Russia,' Prokhanov said. 'Thus they are celebrating their final victory not in World War II but in the Cold War."

I wonder if the Russians force enough "woe is us" crap toward the Obama administration, that the prez will do his usual bowing and apologizing? It seems to have had a great success so far in foreign relations.
