What Journalists Should be Asking about Global Warming
Fox News Washington Bureau Chief Bill Sammon sent an e-mail to his reporting staff about being skeptical on reporting news on Global warming. The folks at Media Matters are up in arms about it because of exactly that, Sammon telling his journalists to be skeptical; which is exactly what journalist are supposed to do.
Of course Media Matters being a left wing institution automatically makes their blood boil whenever journalists do what they're supposed to...ask hard questions about anything controversial, especially if the topic in question is something that looks more and more like one of-if not the-biggest global hoaxes perpetrated on humankind.
I am a graduate of journalism. I was taught to question everything. I was fortunate enough to have a teacher that although admittedly liberal, she never once pushed her beliefs on us. She taught us to ask who, what, where, when and if at all possible why. That is all. Never let your opinions influence your work and never put yourself into the story. We were also taught to write at an eighth-grade level, but that's another story. This is why I get so irate when so-called objective "journalists" take sides or are clearly biased for an agenda-any agenda. Now some of you may have noticed that I'm not exactly objective when it comes to this blog. But that's the point. It's a blog, not a legitimate, mainstream news site. If I were to work at a news agency, you better believe I would be asking hard questions. And not just from liberals. I know some of you don't believe it, and perhaps I've given you ample reason to think that, but it's true.
Anyways here is a great article from Mark Tapscott on the ridiculousness of Media Matters' objections to Sammon's e-mail.
