Networks Mum on Pro-Gun Sandy Hook Parent
Bill Stevens, father of a surviving Sandy Hook student, gave his testimony in favor of gun rights, yet almost no media outlet covered it. Why? Because it doesn't fit the media's narrative of guns only do bad.
Gun rights advocates may jump on the testimony of Stevens to combat the narrative of media types like Piers Morgan who likes to use the quotes and opinions of Sandy Hook parents that support more gun-control legislation. Of course, the predictable response by Morgan and his ilk will be to say Stevens didn't lose his child and therefore doesn't have a relevant opinion. But if the gun confiscating crowd can use the Sandy Hook parents and victims themselves as political pawns, why can't Second Amendment advocates use quotes from residents like Stevens?
Any surprise then that Mr. Stevens words aren't widely being reported?
