Sykes Wishes Limbaugh Dead, Obama Laughs

So wishing that socialist policies fail is treason, yet wishing somebody dead is fine. So thinks the President of the United States. Comedian (and I use that term very loosely) Wanda Sykes, whom I never found funny anyway, said she wishes conservative radio-host, Rush Limbaugh's kidneys would fail and that he would die. She said he's treasonous for hoping "America fails."

Once again, a loonie liberal has taken a media-induced lie and ran with it, facilitating a historical fallacy that the MSM wantonly will not correct. Not only is wishing a socialist policy that will ruin the nation not treason, it is good logic. But even if Limbaugh did in fact mean to say he wished Obama, and by extension, America, fails, how is that worse than Sykes publicly stating she wishes another American (or another person in general) dead any better? Did Limbaugh once say that he wished the president dead? No. Not once.

But even worse than that was President Obama had the biggest, wide-grinned laugh for all to see. How many members of the media establishment will write or even care about that one? How about less than none? In fact this little soiree known as the White House Press Association dinner (a Washington tradition since 1920) got a room full of laughs from all the network, cable and print representatives. Nobody after it was over questioned her comments or motives for them. Of course, she's a "comedian," remember, so she gets a pass. Can the same be said for Michael Richard's racist-induced tirade? Or Sandra Bernhardt's disgusting comment about Gov. Sarah Palin being gang-raped. Richards career is over because he insulted blacks. Bernhardt insulted a white Republican, so no big deal. If Sykes was white, nevermind that her audience of press-core members are 90% liberal, would she be labeled a racist? If she were a conservative she would be. You can take that to the bank.

As for Obama himself, he was quite humorous as he was at last year's Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner.

As the Washington Post's Robert Leiby reports, no one was safe from Obama's quips. Not Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton,

"The minute she got back from Mexico, she pulled me into a hug and said I should go down there myself," referring to the recent Swine Flu paranoia.

Not Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel,
"This is a tough holiday for Rahm. He's not used to saying the word 'day' after 'mother," of course referencing Emanuel's penchant for expletives.

Not even himself, acknowledging that he is a media darling,
"During the second 100 days, we will design, build and open a library dedicated to my first 100 days. My next 100 days will be so successful, I will complete them in 72 days. And on the 73rd day, I will rest."

Sykes wasn't finished with Limbaugh, as she even made reference to his well-publicized addiction to Oxycontin, yet no mention of the President's former cocaine habit.

"...I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker. But he was just so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight."

She then said he should be water-boarded for good measure.

"Rush Limbaugh, I hope the country fails, I hope his kidneys fail, how about that? He needs a good water-boarding, that's what he needs."

Class, all the way. Normally, I'd write about now I would ask where's the outrage from the Obama-loving, hypocritical press, but I guess they were too busy laughing along.

Oh my gosh that's horrific!! What a nasty, mean spirited woman. I can't believe she was even invited to speak at this dinner! And everyone loved her comments. Despicible. I've never found her funny either. She's aggressive and mean and I don't like that type of "comedy."

"But even worse than that was President Obama had the biggest, wide-grinned laugh for all to see." -That is just disgusting.

Palin was invited to this dinner but she declined because of the flooding in Alaska. I'm sooooo glad she didn't go. She's way too classy to be hanging out with these folks.

That's the intolerace and hypocricy of the left, Adrienne. We both know that. Heck, even "Joe Independent" (recent name change, which I think I may have had something to do with) knows that.

And it is very disgusting. Nothing knew from the left, but disgusting nonetheless.
