North Korea Breaks U.N. Resolution and Launches Disputed Rocket
Was there any doubt?
An interesting comment left behind by administrator, Amy Proctor, on her Bottom Line Up Front site:
"North Korea routinely kidnaps South Koreans, Japanese, has a terrible sex industry, its people are starving and childing dying in the streets from malnutrition. This is not an exaggeration. No one wants to address these issues because who wants to go through what George W. Bush went through the last 8 years? No one wants to man up and facilitate world peace because its easier to talk about it than actually do it."
That's it in a nutshell.

Why must America ALWAYS be 'The World's Police'?
Um...who else is going to do it? Or do you feel the world doesn't need it. Why don't you ask France and England (moreover how about Austria, Belgium, Scandinavia, Africa, etc.) about if the U.S. should stay out of everything?
The UN should not rely on MOSTLY AMERICA to resolve conflicts.
No wonder some of the world hates 'The Ugly American'.
I agree. America shouldn't be the only ones. But again, who else is going to do it?
And if the Useless Nations "rely" on the U.S. for some of these actions, how does that precipitate the "Ugly American" rhetoric?
Mostly because the UN double-talks their way through things.
They cry poor/unable/uninterested and let America be the 'fall guy'.
IF America said "No" once in a while MAYBE the other members of the UN would be forced to more interested and/or involved.
Then again, MAYBE if these decisions left to the U.N. were actually made for the good of the world instead of their own corrupt bodies, other nations would get involved.
If we leave them to their discretion, well, use your imagination on that one.
