Gregory Won't Be Prosecuted
Not that it was a big deal anyway, even though the law is the law, NBC's David Gregory will not be prosecuted for "exhibition of a high-capacity bullet magazine...despite the clarity of the violation of this important law.
In case you missed it, Gregory came under fire (sort of speak) for brandishing an illegal high-capacity gun magazine on Meet the Press that Gregory and NBC were told by D.C. police that they could not use as a prop and then did anyway. The fact that he didn't get prosecuted isn't really surprising. I mean it's not like the guy is a Los Angeles gang-banger with a record a mile long, even though a small slap on the wrist and a public warning may have shown NBC brass and the public that liberal journalists and hosts are not above the law. Apparently they are.
But the real question isn't whether he should have been prosecuted, the real question should be why wasn't he? The answer may be a little shady.
