All the Lies Fit to Print

About Gov Palin, that is.

Yes. More about Sarah Palin. I told you I don't care if you've had enough. It's my duty to keep her fresh and in your face!

Eight Facts That Burnish Bush's Record

David Frum has a good (some may even say a desperate) attempt to summon up the suppressed accomplishments of President Bush.
Kind of a supplemental to this.

Get Fuzzy: Starring Bucky Cat-Innaugural Post

Starting today, and I hope I'm not in danger of copy-write infringement here, I'm going to post the misadventures of my favourite new Republican, Bucky Cat.
If you read my other blog, Entertainment Breakdown, you have an idea of exactly who Bucky is.

I just love this cat. He's mean, arrogant, conniving...everything you want in a cartoon cat!
I'm going to try and post Get Fuzzy whenever possible. Not every single day, mind you, just the quasi-political ones. Because you NEED to see this. everybody needs a laugh. Even Liberals.

I have to get you caught up on what's been going on the last few weeks with Bucky and his "secession" from America.

Sorry about all the black space, but I didn't want to get in the way of my archive list.

They're Still At It.

With all the press coverage, rightfully, on the India crisis, the Somali pirates have almost been forgotten.
Well, they're still at it.

Ship held by pirates...

Seriously, where's the American and/or British Navy on this one?

The Post-Skinny on India

Franken Loses, Still Whining

Typical left-wing Dem.. Al Franken finally loses his Senate bid but, in typical ACORN fashion, he's whining about it and "considering his options."
Which, apparently, involves the liberal-democrat's favourite pastime: taking it to the courts.
What a loser.

She Still Leads

Go Sarah Go.

I love the fact that my continued support and posting about Gov. Sarah Palin bothers so many lefties out there. I must be doing something right.

Just wait how out of shape you guys will be when she makes her (almost) guaranteed triumphant return.

By the way, Listen to Rush...Democrats DO fear her. Otherwise, why the attacks so much, so soon?

Rush Limbaugh
“I think her effectiveness is making her a target”

Okay, I want you to listen very carefully to this. It’s a long answer that I’m going to try to make very brief. In the first place, when you say “Why don’t Republicans like her?” there’s a whole bunch of different kinds of Republicans now. Like there’s you and me, and we’re conservative Republicans. But we also have to deal with liberal and moderate or Rockefeller Republicans in our party. So the party has lost its primary identity: strong national defense, tax cuts, smaller government. It’s lost its identity. It doesn’t believe smaller government is possible. The Republican Party has too many people who want the government to grow. Just spend the money on different groups of people in different ways in order to get votes. It’s called liberalism lite. They’re calling it redefine conservatism. Sarah Palin makes them nervous because of precisely what you cited. She inspired and revved up a Republican Party. But there are people in the Republican Party who don’t want it to stand for the things that she stands for. I think her effectiveness is making her a target.
The Drive-By Media and the Democrat Party are also not fond of her, and they’re doing everything they can to make her appear to be the face of the Republican Party, because they think most of the country despises her, too, based on exit polls. You know, Barbara Walters in the interview I did with her last week asked, “You like Palin?”

I said, “I absolutely do.” I said, “I think she was great.” I said, “Why don’t you like her?”

“She was uninformed,” Barbara Walters said, and a light went off in my head, because there is the template. The one interview she did with Katie Couric and they’ve all decided she’s an idiot and she’s uninformed. They do not know that there were people in the McCain campaign trying to sabotage her and that she was under tight controls, and she finally wanted to bust out and be who she is. Those of us that pay attention saw enough of who she is to realize that she is incredibly valuable to the conservative cause and the Republican Party going forward. But to those that don’t like her it’s simply because of that, Tim, she’s effective and she threatens the old boy network. It’s not a gender thing. She threatens the old boy network, but I’m telling you this is a fundamental thing to understand.

Look, I'm not a huge fan of Rush Limbaugh. Even I'll agree that most times he can be a windbag. I listen to Michael Medved at that time. But you'll have to agree that Rush has been right on the money with most issues, like it or not.

He certainly is on this one.

You're Starting to Fall on Deaf Ears, Al

Now whatcha gonna do?
People are finally starting to see through your facade

On the argument, that you know what you're talking about? The debate is over!

Zawahri Says U.S. Wars Behind Financial Crisis

So bin Laden's second, Ayman al-Zawahri, is claiming that "This crisis is one of ... the series of American economic hemorrhages after the strikes of September 11..."
So clearly, America must stop all present and future interests in the Middle East to secure their economy. I mean, this is the guy that said America will "wade in pools of the blood of their sons," and that "the flag of Islam will fly over the White House."

So obviously this guy, with his record of prophesy should be taken ultra seriously when it comes to his pontificating.

Man, this animal's head on a plate would look good in the Oval office.

Bush's Wish for His Legacy

This is what President Bush wishes for what his legacy as U.S. president. Along with some screw-ups, (Harriet Myers, UAE/Port fiasco, the Rumsfeld decision to not engage in Iraq with overwhelming force, etc.) Bush should be remembered for his triumphs as well as his tragedies. How much do you want to bet that the left sees absolutely no positives in the last eight years? I mean NONE! They already consider him the worst president in history...hello, calling Jimmy Carter! But again, no mention of the Democratic congress' numbers being at an all-time worst.

Hell, even conservatives don't deny the way Clinton handled the economy between 1994-2000 (1992 & 1993 as we all know-or should-was because of the Reagan/Bush tax cuts; and significantly helped him secure a surplus over the next six years, that and the fiscally-controlled Republican congress.)

But you won't get that out of the left. Nope. No addmittal of how the economy was just fine until Barney Frank and his ilk got their mitts on Congress and their version of "fiscal responsibility."
according to the left, Bush's legacy will only be falsely remembered as a war criminal, an idiot (like only Republican presidents are) you know, in other words, a complete failure.

Sad, these media types.
He'll be fine. When the actual history of what this man has done (if in fact the positives are not supressed as they are now) are written, he will be treated well. That is of course, the on-going liberal indoctrination of young, university students are told different, much like the students of today are lied to about Nixon and Reagan.

Sarah Palin Post Election Interview

Frankly, I don't care if you've had enough of her or not.
and I know it's been on FOX News videos for a bit now, but I just had to show you some bits of her interview with Greta Van Susteren.

This is your proof that she quite intelligent, charming, eloquent and competent. This shows you that she is NOTHING like the Katie Courics and Charles Gibsons would have you believe. Shame on the MSM for their consistent barrage of lies, insults and sexism aimed at Gov. Palin.

And just for fun, a message from Palin's future co-star in the GOP, Louiisana Governor, Bobby Jindal:

Here she is in her element, being a mother and a politician both. How true feminists don't pay homage to this woman is astounding.
You can see her doing motherly things, while carrying on her conversation with Susteren about energy policy and pride of Alaska. It's no wonder this woman has a 80% approval rating (the highest in the country) in her home state and a 91% approval rating from the conservative base of the Republican Party. Of course it's "set up" that way, but it just shows how amazing what a more relaxed atmosphere with a interviewer that allows you to use your own words and with no attempt to discredit or to unfairly paint you as something you're not can do for the governor's public perception.
Kudos to Van Susteren for allowing the governor to be herself and not trying to consciously derail her.

Listen to her knowledge and common sense. Actually listen to what she's actually saying and see how stoic this woman can be.
Yes, you read right.
The conservative no-nonsense attitude and awareness is alive and well in this one. That glass ceiling has a deep crack in it now.

Obama Picks Volcker to Head New Economic Panel

Paul Volcker, who helped tame runaway inflation in the 1980s during two terms as chairman of the Federal Reserve, has agreed to lead the new White House economic advisory committee.

Obama has selected yet another Clintonista, but this one is probably a safe bet, and actually a good choice for someone who know how to work with the economy.

Retains Gates.

Don't expect Obama to leave Iraq too soon. Something that I may have been wrong about (which looks like there may be more of if Obama's decisions lately-if not cabinet picks-keep surprising some)

Also something that is leaving the far left none too pleased.

Russia Building 'Berlin Wall' in Georgia

Not quite, but scary enough with the connotations.

You know, eventually everyone will just have "Great Walls" (yes, as in China) along the length of their borders.

Terror Plot Scare in NYC

A "plausible but unsubstantiated" report that al-Qaida terrorists in late September may have discussed attacking the New York City subway system.

Everybody knows no matter how safe America is for no matter how long, eventually they are going to strike. I wonder where they're going to strike here in Canada. Because they will, in both countries, eventually.

Just how big and how devestating long-term?

Alternative Fascism

Conn Carroll explains just how Obama won't even have to have the responsibility, and legacy, of instituing the Fairness Doctrine.

I've been saying this for months.

You Have to See This!

It's about time someone other than the hosts of Joshua's Trail, a Detroit-based radio show hosted by Levon Yuille and his band of merry men (on 1400 WBTK-Detroit) told the TRUTH behind the foundlings of America's two major political parties. All black conservatives, all dedicated to the truth about black history in America and the truth about the real history and founding of the Republican Party. Anyone interested should not only read this column, but should also listen to the above radio show, if it's available in their area. Like I said, they don't just tell the truth about the origins of the Republican Party, they tell the truth about the "distinguished" origins of the Democratic Party.
Did you happen to check out some of the denials and run of the mill hatred on Amy there?

They always like to tell Republicans that the truth hurts. But once again (and forever more) hypocrisy and double-standards abound when it comes time for libs to take their own medicine. It just goes to show that, truly, being a liberal means never having to say you're sorry.
Remember, Republicans=LIES; Democrats=TRUTH. EVERY TIME, ALL THE TIME!!!
Not to mention...Republicans are STUPID; Democrats are GENIUSES.

Don't you know that? Sheesh!

New AG is Talking "Reasonable" Regulations on the Net

Barack Obama's pick for incoming Attorney General, Eric Holder thinks "we should come up with reasonable restrictions, reasonable regulations in how people interact on the Internet."
That in itself doesn't sound too unreasonable. However he's also a left-leaning advocate of a federal hate-crime law.

You shouldn't be able to learn how to make bombs on the internet, but you HAVE to have access to whatever information you need. Common sense, I think, dictates how to handle this without screwing with the First Amendment.
And what about these legal ramifications?

Did you see the look on that kid's face? Remember that farce?

Not Very Constitutional There, Mr. President-Elect

Apparently I hit on something a few weeks back when I said you can be assured of President-Elect Obama screwing with the second amendment.

Um...
I say, that he'll screw with something having something to do with...I don't know...
property rights next.

Oh Crap!

Joe's Conspiracy Unfolds

Sigh.
I know this guy isn't really relevant anymore (unless he hits it big with country music "career")
but I..I just want the media to due it's job. I'm beggin' em' to be impartial, professional and accurate. At this point I'll settle for professional. But have the humility and recognizance to be journalists and expose this unbelieveable travesty of justice.
I mean talk about invasion of privacy. Too much interest in this guy by too many people in too many different branches of the Ohio state government. What is going to happen to whomever sent the memos to green-light this is another thing I want to know.

Remember when Reagan fired all those air-traffic controllers?
These guys should be all gone.

She's Accepting

Well. Barack bettter offer Bill an ambassadorship, lest he let him wander around, skulking throughout the White House.

Goracle is Reaching Waaaaay Back Now

Al Gore is really reaching now. In his desperate attempt to "show us" how societies can "collapse" if they don't heed evoirnmental issues (and buy his books) he plugs a book by Jared Diamond aboout the collapse of the Myan civilization (you know the civilization so full of "time prophets" that they pridicted that the world will end in 2012 (like this trailor from the new film,"2012"by Independence Day director, Roland Emerich depicts) but yet, they couldn't forsee their own downfall.
He's really getting desperate now.

Gore says on his "Al's Journal":

Looking Back to Look Forward November 19, 2008

'These models suggest that as ecosystems were destroyed by mismanagement or were transformed by global climatic shifts, the depletion of agricultural and wild foods eventually contributed to the failure of the Maya sociopolitical system,' writes environmental archaeologist Kitty Emery of the Florida Museum of Natural History in the current Human Ecology journal."

As we move towards solving the climate crisis, we need to remember the consequences to civilizations that refused to take environmental concerns seriously.

If you haven’t read already read it, take a look at Jared Diamond’s book, Collapse.

Poor guy.

Mukasey Collapses During Speech

Attorney General Michael Mukasey, the no-nonsense former federal judge who took over the Justice Department after Alberto Gonzales resigned, collapsed during a speech Thursday night and lost consciousness.

These People Should be Ashamed of Themselves

This is all the more reason for Americans (and to that extent, Canadians as well) to have to take a test to measure their political knowledge. Why people like this even bothered voting, nevermind being allowed to, is astounding. Where do they come from? You know them when you see them. But, how do they survive? Seriously, can they even feed themselves?
Proof positive the average Obama supporter-and most certainly the voting public in general-don't have a frickin' clue of what they're being told and in no way do they question what they're reading.

But how could you just click on the idiot box, listen until the birds start chirping, and then actually process all that D=GOOD R=BAD propaganda and not even think about it. Not even once?
Sheesh.

As the video mentions at it's conclusion, here is the complete results of their poll (and the video again)

Couple this with the Howard Stern "street survey," and you have to conclude that people like this (the average Obama supporter) have no clue.

I mean for God's sake, crack a book.

al Queda Threatens Obama

You see. It doesn't matter who's in power. Whether it be a Democrat or Republican, they want us dead! No ifs, ands or buts. You watch, it won't be long before they'll be hanging and burning Obama in efegy, just like Bush, Jr, Bush Sr, and Clinton all. It doesn't matter, folks.
What? Did you actually think they were going "sit down and talk" with Obama? Did you honestly think he was going to change their minds, that they were all of a sudden going to love a Obama-led U.S.A?

Reality check.

Obama is going to get old before his time. Do you think he realizes what he signed on for?

Cheney Under Indictment

A south Texas grand jury has decided to indict Vice-President Cheney and former Attorney General, Roberto Gonzales on charges of prisoner abuse in that state's Willacy County's federal detention centers.

Too Late!

Well, it's on now. Start the plans for war. Let the nightmares begin, because we have just entered the beginning stages of World War III. When historians trace back the starting moments, this will be it.
Good job U.N. All your humming and a hawing and corruption have now allowed to the evil Iranian state to "allegedly" procure a nuclear weapon.
What's next? Well, with Russia and China holding joint military excorcises , you won't have to wait long until there are Russian troops on the Israeli border.

What's President Bush going to do about this? Most likely not much, seeing that he's on his way out, besides some verbal condemnation. But the bigger question is, what is President-Elect Obama going to do about it once he assumes power? He better do something, because the game is really afoot now. I guess we'll see what he's made of sooner than we thought. You can bet Israel is planning bombing runs as I write this.
I don't like where this is heading.
Bush warned us-again.

So What Did Go On at That Republican Governors Association Meeting?

Yeah, more about Palin. You're going to probably hear more about her now than before she ran for V.P. Too bad. Get used to it.
Byron York reports.

Hillary Clinton..the Next Secretary of State

The Drudge Report is reporting that Sen. Hillary Clinton has allegedly accepted President-Elect Barack Obama's offer to be the next Secretary of State.

Is this a good move for Clinton? Nevermind the question of where would she be better served to serve her country, but rather is this a good career move for her, considering that she undoubtedly still has her eye on the presidency for 2012 or 2016.
After all, the Sec. of State position is more prevalent and would most likely keep her in the spotlight more, but staying a senator is more or less a lifetime tenure job and probably more conducive to being able to land the most powerful office in the world. I don't recall off-hand too many Secretaries of State becoming president.

Either way, Obama will have to deal with Bill sashaying around the White House hitting on chicks. Keep a watchful eye on those interns Barack.

UPDATE AS OF NOV. 20:

Drudge is reporting that she hasn't officially accepted yet. The story is "developing."
In my defense, I did say that she "allegedly" accepted. So there.

Facts and Tips for Sarah Palin

Yes, another Sarah Palin post. I will not let her dissapear dear lefties. Like it or not, I really don't think you know who you're messing with. When the MSM lets its guard down and the real truth about her accomplishments and intelligence is made clear (a la one Ronald Reagan, who you also failed to discredit before winning the presidency) she will be a force to reckon with. Or, are you all just sexist? I thought I'd just throw in a lefty way of thinking there, just for fun.

*From NewsMax.com's Left Coast Report:

Sarah Palin’s Star Will Continue to Shine

Thanks to media rogues and back-stabbing colleagues, many in the punditocracy are underestimating the future possibilities for Sarah Palin.

“There was a poll, said like 80 percent of Republicans want her to, you know, become a leader in their party,” said Paul Begala on HBO’s “Real Time.” “And my answer was, and 100 percent of Democrats.”

Careful what you wish for may be the apt admonition for Begala and friends.

Something routinely mused over by Hollywood agents, studio execs and PR firms alike is the elusive quality of “star power.”

As we saw during this election cycle, D.C. has now officially become Hollywood East.

Political stars have all the glitz, glamour and fame as do top box-office draws. Like movie idols, they ooze charisma, command stages, induce lightheadedness and uncontrollable weeping among adoring fans, create endless fascination, grace magazine covers, shape opinion, set trends and provide otherwise ordinary lives with excitement.

Of course, President-elect Obama fits this profile to a T. But so, too, does Gov. Palin, or Sarah, as she is now affectionately known; she gets first-name star recognition like Cher, Jen, and Angelina.

Evidence of Sarah’s enduring star power can be seen in the interview requests that continue to pour in from the likes of Barbara Walters, Oprah Winfrey, and Larry King. Even as I write, proposals from the biggest agents in Hollywood are being drafted by the droves.

Sarah’s emergence at the Republican National Convention would leave an indelible impression of an awesomely inspiring female leader, yet one so approachable. The public would swoon over the hockey mom with a baby on her hip who would ascend to the highest office of her state and beyond to become the veep nominee. Pure gold.

She would go on to consistently draw larger crowds than the man at the top of the ticket. And in that same vein she is destined to triumph over the negative image that the mainstream media has plastered over her.

The conservative base, vital during the primary process, is in love with Sarah. According to a recent Rasmussen poll, 64 percent of Republicans pick her for the party's next presidential nomination and 69 percent of GOP-ers believe that she helped rather than hurt McCain in the election.

After the hard fought campaign, Sarah returned to Alaska. As she emerged from her plane, the crowd chanted, “2012! 2012!”

In his gracious concession speech, McCain praised his running mate as “one of the best campaigners I have ever seen, and an impressive new voice in our party for reform and the principles that have always been our greatest strength.”

The party’s new voice has left the door open for a run. When asked about a possible 2012 candidacy, Sarah told the press, “Plans for 2012 are to enroll Trig in kindergarten and see where the kids are at that time in their lives. They're going to come first,” she ensured.

She dramatically added, “We'll see what happens then.”

Hollywood Suggestions for Sarah Palin

* The New York Times best seller: Write a book for your awaiting public; one that spreads the conservative message. It’ll be No. 1 in a Juneau minute.

* Stay in the spotlight: Love the lens and the microphone. Do tons of conservative friendly TV and talk radio. And give lots and lots of speeches where you blast the professional politicians, cowardly media and greedy government.

* The fan club: Nurture your base — free marketeers, gun rights advocates, young Republicans and libertarians, moose, deer, and duck hunters, God and country lovers, pro-baby folks, baseball, football, and dodge ball moms — watch it grow.

* The global tour: You wowed the world during the campaign. Keep taking it internationally starting with Italy and then the U.K.

* Do a documentary: Make it on energy and you may even snag an Oscar. Hey, it worked for Al Gore.

LA Times James Rainy Has Been Sleeping Too Much

Los Angeles Times media critic, James Rainy is obviosly had his head in the sand, claiming that "nobody is asking for the fairness doctrine." Either that, or he's just a plain ol' liar and/or incompetent as a journalist.

Maybe he missed these few gems from the Democrat side of the isle:

First from "Project 21"

Unmasking the Myths Behind the Fairness Doctrine
from the Media Research Center and Culture and media Institute-PDF format.

From Stop the ACLU-The Fairness Doctrine...What You May Not Know

From the Heritage Foundation

And to be (somewhat) fair, here is a convincing, yet rediculoustake on the fairness doctrine from CommonDreams.org

And how about some direct quotes from Democrat supports of this farce?

John Kerry,
"I think the Fairness Doctrine ought to be there, and I also think equal time doctrine ought to come back," he said on the Brian Lehrer show on WNYC. "These are the people that wiped out ... one of the most profound changes in the balance of the media is when the conservatives got rid of the equal time requirements and the result is that they have been able to squeeze down and squeeze out opinion of opposing views and I think its been a very important transition in the imbalance of our public eye."

Federal Communications Commissioner, Robert M. McDowell,
"I think the fear is that somehow large corporations will censor their content, their points of view, right,” McDowell said. “I think the bigger concern for them should be if you have government dictating content policy, which by the way would have a big First Amendment problem. Then, whoever is in charge of government is going to determine what is fair, under a so-called ‘Fairness Doctrine,’ which won’t be called that – it’ll be called something else,” McDowell said. “So, will Web sites, will bloggers have to give equal time or equal space on their Web site to opposing views rather than letting the marketplace of ideas determine that?"

Hillary Clinton,
"We have got to do something about this, these are nothing but far-right wing extremists. We’ve got to have a balance, there’s got to be a legislative fix to this."

Nancy Pelosi, from Accuracy in Media

Louis Slaughter in an interview with Bill Moyers,
BILL MOYERS: Well, you know some serious people, including some liberals have said that one reason Rush Limbaugh has succeeded is because he is good entertainment.

LOUISE SLAUGHTER: Exactly. He doesn't make any pretense of being a news person or even telling you the truth. He says he's an entertainer.

BILL MOYERS: And you're saying that kind of discourse is dominating America right now.

LOUISE SLAUGHTER: Dominating America and a waste of good broadcast time and a waste of our airwaves.

BILL MOYERS: Not to the people who agree with him.

LOUISE SLAUGHTER: Well, they don't hear anything else. Why would they disagree with him?

They don't hear anything else? Really? Then what is NPR and Air America, I mean before it failed miserably and went bankrupt?

Dennis Kucinich on CNN's Lou Dobbs,

Dianne Feinstein,
"In my view, talk radio tends to be one-sided. It also tends to be dwelling in hyperbole," she said. "It's explosive. It pushes people to, I think, extreme views without a lot of information."
And,
"I believe very strongly that the airwaves are public and people use these airwaves for profit. But there is a responsibility to see that both sides and not just one side of the big public questions of debate of the day are aired and are aired with some modicum of fairness."

Here's Feinstein on Hannity & Colmes along with the always "controversial" (only because she's conservative, Ann Coulter:

Chuck Schumer,
"The very same people who don’t want the Fairness Doctrine want the FCC [Federal Communications Commission] to limit pornography on the air. I am for that… But you can’t say government hands off in one area to a commercial enterprise but you are allowed to intervene in another. That’s not consistent."

Comparing political free speech to pornography?
Again these hypocrites see no "equal time" in letting conservative views be heard in Hollywood, mainstream magazines, major universities, major news broadcasts, etc.

Remember the First Amendment’s guarantee that "Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press."
Just par for the course in Liberal Land.
Did I say Rainy had his head in the sand? Clearly I should have said it's up his tucus!

Furtermore, if there's any doubt to the Democrats plan to destroy conservative radio, check out this comment from Bill Ruder, Democratic campaign consultant and Assistant Secretary of Commerce, Kennedy Administration,
"Our massive strategy was to use the Fairness Doctrine to challenge and harass right-wing broadcasters and hope the challenges would be so costly to them that they would be inhibited and decide it was too expensive to continue."

And as far as the liberals presidential hero, JFK goes, he said himself:
"We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people." That is precisely why the Fairness Doctrine is on the rise again - liberal elements of our government fear an informed electorate.

The more things change, the more they stay the same I guess.

Well, Duh!

Barney Frank-Idiot Extrodinaire

First this guy is one of a handful of Democrats that are truly responsible for the Freddie Mac/Fannie May implosion and therefore the catalyst of America's (nay the world's) economic disaster (not to mention of being on the House Financial Services Committee while his live-in boyfriend was a lobbyist for Fannie May-can you say conflict of interest?)

Now he wants to be allowed to do it all over again with a proposed auto industry bail-out bill that has "taxpayer protection" embedded in it's loans. Uh-huh.

Why do the people of Massachusettes keep re-electing this tool?

Chuck Norris's Take on Sour Grapes and Intolerance of Gays

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black, what's up with the intolerence and violence of the gay community on the people of California's majority vote on Proposition 8 to maintain the centuries-old tradition of marriage being that of one man and one woman? The people have spoken. Have you ever seen traditional marriage advocates attacking gay night clubs, bath houses and/or their owners and employees? Yes, I know. Inveriably, someone is going to mention the assassination of Harvey Milk (right, one nutjob assassin v.s. thousands of pro-gay demonstrators-much like the ridiculous argument of fundamentalist Chrisitians v.s. Islamists, or the thousands of Muslim terrorists in the world as compared to the two domestic terrorists -not counting William Ayers and the Underground Weathermen-Ted Kazinzky and Timothy McVeigh)

Anyways, here's Mr. Norris's column on all this hypocrisy.

By the way, have you heard the latest Chuck Norris joke?
Nevermind.

Lobbyists in Key Positions in Team Obama Transition Team

Surprise, surprise. It seems that President-Elect Obama has some more dirty laundry he should explain, but won't. How much do you want to bet that the media won't either? Oh, they'll "explain" it, as in make an excuse for it, but will they condemn it? Don't turn blue waiting for that.

Also, a Team Obam member is found to have undermined a Fannie May oversight as a lobbyist. I that Obama had promised to change things. Well, if you read "The Case Against Barack Obama" by David Freddoso, you wouldn't be surprised. The President-Elect only seems to be interested in "changing" anything the Bush administration has done, including tax cuts, protecting the unborn, you know, decent stuff.
If he can change the policies that President Bush didn't fare so well with, good for him, but don't force-feed us this line about how he's a "different kind of politician."

First, he lied about William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan (to which Ayers was the first to admit to recently on ABC's Good Morning America and that The View's Joy Behar called "baloney," as if all these radical associations of Obama didn't matter) now he wants us all to just "forgetaboutit." I guess all this time he just wanted us all to "hope for change"-but don't ask how.

Also, the President-Elect is commited to change-changing his mind on interrogation techniqiues that is.
As well as supporters of Obama on the Bush administration’s position on indefinite detention .

What more wonders will they see the light on? I wonder what the average Obama/Biden voter thinks about this new found "change?"
It's not taking long for the President-Elect to see what's really happening now is it? Do you think this has anything to do with his exposure to intelligence reports in his visit with President Bush?

It Seems "Official" American Troops to be Out of Iraq by 2012

We'll see if this holds up, and if Obama takes credit for it.

Round Infinitim for Israeli-Lebanon Conflict

I guess those pesky, 'terrorist" Israelis are instigating another round of attacks by the innocent Hamas factions.

Doesn't anybody ever notice how there's peace between these two, until Hamas finds any excuse to launch an attack? Every single time.

Wait for it. Wait for the American MSM and al Jazeera to find excuses that the Lebanese "government" can propagandize. It shouldn't be long now.

A Good Sign of Why She Could (and Should) Be Back

If the MSM weren't so hell-bent on labeling Sarah Palin a 'religious fanatic," a "social conservative," or "traditionalist," all things that the media have turned into dirty words, they might have let the American people know the truth about her.

Palin the Fiscal Conservative Reformer

I've been a little annoyed at the recent media characterization of Sarah Palin as a purely "Social Conservative" or "Traditionalist" pitted against the "Reform" or "Fiscal Conservative" wing of the GOP.

It's not that Palin isn't a social conservative (she is), but as governor, her social positions did not define her. It is very obvious that the media has sought to define her as a social conservative, in an effort to pigeon-hole her -- and to diminish her reputation. What is more, aside from all-but calling her a religious fanatic, the media has sought to portray her as a Mike Huckabee-esqu populist.

In fact, Palin's pre-Veep identity was as a leading reformer and fiscal conservative … a starkly different image than most Americans are now aware of.

To pound home this point, our intern Adam Brickley (who ran the leading "Draft Palin" blog) went through his archives and put together a list of quotes about Palin from before her VP nomination.

He also put together a timeline of the fiscal conservative reforms undertaken by the Palin Administration in Alaska.

Following are some very telling quotes about Palin, which pre-date her nomination:

Quotes:

"Republican primary voters in Alaska are ready for a change and are rallying to the fiscally responsible leadership embodied by Governor Palin."

- Pat Toomey, 9/24/2007

"Palin's veto ax lops $268 million from budget"

- Achorage Daily News Headline, 5/24/2008

"(Palin) has come out and told her own congressional delegation, all Republicans, 'Stop with the earmarks! It's wrong, it's wrong! Even when it benefits us in Alaska.'"

- Michael Medved, 12/21/2007

"Palin's tough spending cuts drew criticism from Republican legislators whose pet projects were vetoed."

- Fred Barnes, 7/16/2007

"This week, it was Palin who singlehandedly killed the leading symbol of Republican spending excess in Washington: the Bridge to Nowhere."

- Patrick Ruffini, 9/29/2007

The Palin Fiscal Record:

July 1st, 2007 - Massive line item vetoes (lopping almost a quarter-billion dollars off of a $1.8 billion capital budget).

Dec. 11th, 2007
- Palin's proposed budget slashes earmark requests, and dramatically slows growth of government.

March 23rd, 2008More vetoes in the "supplemental budget". Palin also demands that legislators explain their pork projects to her personally before she signs off on any of them. This issue was particularly hilarious because the budget was for "emergency spending" and it included (among other things) the construction of batting cages and gun ranges.

May 24th, 2008Second consecutive year of huge line-item vetoes in the state's capital budget (over a quarter-billion dollars this time, 10% of the total capital budget):

I'd say that's a pretty impressive record of "Reform" and "Fiscal Conservatism". (Of course, these headlines are a stark contrast from what we've been fed these last couple of months.)

So if your one of those people who incorrectly believes Palin is merely a populist religious conservative, I have some beach-front property in Arizona that you might be interested in.

This is what she should run on and promote-as well as taking no guff from the Obamedia.

Check out this new blog dedicated to defending Palin, her record, her reputation and why the author also thinks that she has a chance in 2012.

UPDATE: And with a recent comment left to me by "Adrienne," I would very much like you all to check out her blog as well.

Chris Cillizza of WaPo Just Blew My Mind

Chris Cillizza really blew my brain apart when I read this online. He apparently proved he does his own thinking when decided to part with his fellow journalists who believe "McCain made a huge mistake in picking Sarah Palin."

Remember this is from a reporter from the Washington Post. I tip my hat to him. He did his homework on this one. Michael Medved concurs with some of his findings.

Is Sarkozy Softening?

When Nicholas Sarkozy was elected President of France, I knew going in that he was right of center and would most likely bring back a lot of the support, if not most of, the allegiance of the conservative-minded Americans that seemed to like the cut of his jib.

We were able to profess our love of french fries again, not "Freedom Fries." We no longer had to hide our disdain for french toast, it was cool again to call it what it was.

Now, it seems-I could be wrong, Sarcozy hasn't really let us down up until this point-that he is placating to the Russians. Appeasing them, if you will.
Oh, I know; he's just trying to keep the peace and not "offend" anyone. What's wrong with trying to release tensions and diminish the chances for international hostilities?
Well, nothing. I'm all for it. But, you can't show your hand to early and you most definitely can't show any weakness, or anything that can be construed as weakness, especially to the Russians.

This is not an avocation of war. It is an avocation of peace through strength.
We really all should know this by now.

India Enters the Space Race

This is really amazing when you think about it. India has a space probe that has landed on the Moon. India! Not the U.S, not Canada, not Britain or Japan. Not even China, but India!

It's kinda cool, don't you think?
Who's next? Zimbabwe?

Maybe Thiis Can Explain A Few Things to the Left

Although I doubt it.

From Conservative Minded.
I thought I heard Dennis Prager say this not too long ago.

Speaking of Prager, here's a really good (per usual) blog of his from his website about why the right isn't over-reacting to Obama's victory the way they did about Bush's, a la Bush Derangement Syndrome. Nope, for the most part, you won't see any ODS.

You know, between Dennis Prager's logic and Michael Medved's knowledge of history, you can really learn a lot from these guys.
That is, unless you're a total lefty, then you're just hopeless.

Just for Fun

How about a little levity this morning?

Question: Why did the chicken cross the road?

BARACK OBAMA: The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a change! The chicken wanted change!

JOHN MC CAIN: My friends that chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.

SARAH PALIN: BECAUSE, PRAISE JESUS, I WAS GONNA SHOOT HIS SORRY LIBERAL ASS OFF FOR BLOCKING MY VIEW OF RUSSIA !

HILLARY CLINTON: When I was First Lady, I personally helped that little chicken to cross the road. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to ensure right from Day One that every chicken in this country gets the chance it deserves to cross the road. But then, this really isn't about me.

GEORGE W. BUSH: We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road, or not. The chicken is either against us, or for us. There is no middle ground here.

DICK CHENEY: Where's my gun?

NANCY PELOSI: Under this administration there has been an alarming number of chickens displaced and I intend to stop it. We must pass a chicken crossing bill before all the chickens become displaced and this IS a crisis!

COLIN POWELL: Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road.

BILL CLINTON: I did not cross the road with that chicken. What is your definition of crossing?

AL GORE: I invented the chicken.

JOHN KERRY: Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the chicken's intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it.

AL SHARPTON: Why are all the chickens white? We need some black chickens!

DR. PHIL: The problem we have here is that this chicken won't realize that he must first deal with the problem on this side of the road before it goes after the problem on the other side of the road. What we need to do is help him realize how stupid he's acting by not taking on his current problems before adding new problems.

OPRAH: Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems, which is why he wants to cross this road so bad. So instead of having the chicken learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life, I'm going to give this chicken a car so that he can just drive across the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens.

ANDERSON COOPER, CNN: We have reason to believe there is a chicken, but we have not yet been allowed to have access to the other side of the road.

NANCY GRACE: That chicken crossed the road because he's guilty! You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks.

PAT BUCHANAN: To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.

MARTHA STEWART: No one called me to warn me which way that chicken was going. I had a standing order at the Farmers Market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information.

DR SEUSS: Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes, the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed I've not been told.

ERNEST HEMINGWAY: To die in the rain, alone.

JERRY FALWELL: Because the chicken was gay! Can't you people see the plain truth? That's why they call it the other side. Yes, my friends, that chicken is gay. And if you eat that chicken, you will become gay, too. I say we boycott all chickens until we sort out this abomination that the liberal media whitewashes with seemingly harmless phrases like the other side. That chicken should not be crossing the road. It's as plain and as simple as that.

GRANDPA: In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough.

BARBARA WALTERS: Isn't that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time, the heart warming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish its lifelong dream of crossing the road.

ARISTOTLE: It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.

JOHN LENNON: Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together, in peace.

BILL GATES: I have just released eChicken2008, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your checkbook. Internet Explorer is an integral part of eChicken2008. This new platform is much more stable and will never crash.

ALBERT EINSTEIN: Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken?

COLONEL SANDERS: Did I miss one?

Canada's Ruling Conservative Party Votes "Overwhelmingly" to Repeal Hate Speech Law

Where was this when Mark Steyn was fighting for his freedom?
Regardless, it's about time. This stupid, PC-enabling law takes free speech and tosses it into the dust-bin of history. It was just the first step in totally Islamasizing my country. Yeah, I know, "there's the typical fear-mongering and hate speech of the right!"
For those who buy into that garbage, you have absolutely no clue how close to Sharia Law the province of Ontario came.

You also don't know about the trials (quite literally) and tribulations of the aforementioned Mr. Steyn. He was looking at long-term jail time just for representing the facts in his book, America Alone," where he simply pointed out the obvious about the birth-rates of the U.S. and Canada and Europe, compared with that of the Middle-East.
Just because he threw in some humor about Islamofascists (again with some amazing accuracy) which "offended" the delicate sensibilities of some Muslim "leaders."
You know, the same type of self-appointed "leaders" as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

War is Over?

Now I've posted before about how much I respect Michael Yon, but could this really be true. I don't mean about his report of the inactivity of the 10th Mountain Division, I mean about the war in general.

I know the MSM isn't exactly on the ball about such things nowadays, but you figure even they would let us know.

You gotta respect the comment following the story about how it may be "peace in Baghdad," but not "peace in Iraq."
http://www.juancole.com/2008/11/31-killed-by-triple-bombing-in-baghdad.html

Hmm.

Smashing the Brass Ceiling

Forget about Sarah Palin or Hillary Clinton for the time being. This is one for the ages.
Good for her.

And on a related story...
it appears that the Army allegedly sent the AP a "doctored" photo of Gen. Dunwoody.
But get this,

The AP said that "adjusting photos and other imagery, even for aesthetic reasons, damages the credibility of the information distributed by the military to news organizations and the public."

"For us, there's a zero-tolerance policy of adding or subtracting actual content from an image," said Santiago Lyon, the AP's director of photography.

This is coming from the Associated Press? The same news organization that brought you the clinic on "fauxtography?" You remember, during the 2006 incarnation of the on-going Israeli-Lebanese War in which the AP themselves used photo-shopped pictures to tell the "story" of how evil and disgusting the Israelis were being to the poor, poor terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah?

I posted about it here, from Aug. 10, 2006.

Seriously, what more can Obama, the media, congressional Democrats and any and all other scum lie to us about?

But again, congradulations to Gen. Dunwoody.

Remember This Guy...

Along with Sarah Palin, he is the future of the Republican Party.
If you don't know him by now, remember his name well. It is Bobby Jindal, the current governor of Louisiana. You will be seeing a lot more of him.

Hmm. Palin/Jindal '12'?

Oh, Crap! Filibuster Dem Congress Inches Closer to Reality

According to reports from Alaska-based GOP pollster David Dittman, (man, I hate using these sites for references) Mark Begich, the Democratic candidate seeking to defeat convicted Republican and incumbent Sen. Ted Stevens, may have very well won the seat and with it, the Democrats are that much closer to establishing a filibuster-proof, 60-seat, super-majority in Congress. And with that, untethered control (or should I say fate) of America's social (and most probable financial) destruction.

Still Alive, But Worried

I think we're getting closer to this guy every day and I believe he knows it.

I don't even want to hear about "Bush failed in getting him-a guy that lives in a cave."
Or even better Obama will get him. Newsflash. Obama will not even try. Oh sure, in a case of a "target of opportunity" situation, he may drop a couple of Tomahawk missiles into some camp somewhere, a la Bill Clinton, but don't expect any real commitment.

The sad part will be, if Bin Laden dies on Obama's watch, you just know the MSM will faun all over him to make sure he gets the credit for "the kill."

AND...

In the place of Bin Laden, when he falls...
Baitullah Mehsud, the man ABC News is calling "more dangerous than Osama," if you can wrap ypur head around that thought.
And no, I didn't think Bin Laden was the only one. And since these guys are of the same generation, please, no "see, Bush just made more terrorists." Because, obviously the hate instilled in these "people" as children has no affect on these "men" whatsoever, right?

Another University Professor Guilty of Bombings

This one was a instructor in Ottawa, Canada.

He's no Bill Ayers. Then again with a name like Hassan Diab, he'll probably be more protected than Billyboy ever has been.
Hell, with an extradition to France and knowing how passive the French are with their Arab brethren, This guy should be back in Canada teaching unsuspecting teens and twenty-somethings how to make bombs and hate their own country in no time flat.

Is there anybody left who can possibly doubt that Canada too is not only home to untold terrorist cells, but also former and current "on the lamb" terrorists that are working in high-profile jobs and industries throughout the nation?
This will be our downfall: ignorance and indifference.
Our enemies are taking this war seriously. Why aren't we?

Obama Will Need to handle This Better

Suddenly Media Interested in Bill Ayers

I knew it, I knew it.
Now that the election is over, and there's nothing that can be done to affect the election of Barack Obama, the MSM is suddenly interested in Bill Ayers.
First mention from Newsbusters, here.

This obviously proves they knew it would affect Obama's White House chances if they had done their jobs from the start. Again, if Obama had been a Republican...

Breakthrough in AIDS Research?

They say this may be a fluke, but isn't that how all great discoveries are made? From the discovery of penicillin and plutonium to the "accidental finding" of America? They were all discovered by accident.

I'm waiting for more and accurate information on this one, but I have some high hopes for a breakthrough.

She's Not Going Away

Sarah Palin is not going away, folks. In fact, yesterday she was in Miami at the Republican Governor's meeting letting them know how she feels about all this bail-out crap.
The AP story here.

However...
Let them go bankrupt. This socialism crap has to end sometime soon, and this is a good start.
Look, some bailouts were a "necessity, " I suppose, but now everybody wants a piece of the pie. Bankruptcy won't put these conglomerates out of business, they'll just make them more fiscally frugal. It's happened before. And even if it does, there will be someone to pick up the slack of the market.

But, looks like Palin may not have to worry about the auto manufacturers.

And she also was quoted about a certain internet rumor concerning her daughter.
You know, you lefty-bloggers are really getting desperate. Does she really scare you this much?

Also, it looks as though the New York Times and MSNBC have finally contracted some scruples and retracted the bogus "lack of intelligence" fiasco they so proudly printed earlier in the week.

The scoop on "Martin Eisenstadt," the self-proclaimed-and outed-bogus "McCain policy adviser."

For her part, Palin has said that she may or may not run on another national ticket in 2012. But she may be looking at it for 2016. She may even be a Alaskan senator by then, depending on whether she appoints herself the position after Sen. Ted Stevens will most certainly be dropped from the party. Even after the results of his trial were made public, he still won re-election. Unbelievable.
This cannot stand. I don't expect Palin to let it to.

Student Attacked Because of McCain/Palin Pin

This one is for real.
I wonder if the "fairness doctrine" will have anything in its language and/or agenda to deal with things like this. (I know it's almost the same story)
Getting booed, simply because she is Republican?
Ah, Democrats, the party of tolerance.

Nope. Spoke to soon (sarcastically, of course) Check out this sociological experiment in political tolerance by none other than a 14-year old girl.
Can you guess the results?

Get'em Sarah!

Barracuda is on the attack against the "cowardly, anonymous" critics. , including false "clothing stories." This is the real Sarah Palin. Not afraid to tell it like it is. Maybe, just maybe if McCain's "handlers" allowed her to do what she was there to do, the Arizona senator might just be the President-Elect right now. Although she says she "had no immediate plans to build on her new-found national name-recognition and popularity with the Republican base for a possible 2012 presidential run," this is why she'll be back in four years. When she gets mad and goes on her mission, Republicans and conservatives alike will love her all over again. Remember, by then she'll be a little more seasoned and will know what to expect from her adversaries and detractors. And believe me, she'll take them on in a way McCain refused to do-effectively.

Video...

Goracle at It Yet Again

This guy is like an old penny, isn't he?

So the Goracle and the Messiah are going join forces, huh? Oh boy.

Kind of a disgusting development. Of all the nations to do this, you wouldn't expect it from England, after almost being buried by the Nazis.

Churchill is surely rolling in his grave.

Obama is the Man

President Barack Hussein Obama.
I can't believe it. That's not to say I'm in shock. After all, it's all we've heard about and had time to prepare for, for the last six months or so, but I really didn't think the American people would elect a guy with no experience, such radical associations and someone refuses to reveal his past, both professionally as well as personally.

Of course, let's be honest. He really wasn't elected president so much as he was anointed by the media. Is this sour grapes? You bet, but it doesn't make it any less true.
Not investigating his past like the attack dogs would have if he had been a Republican, like they did with Sarah Palin is nothing short of a disgrace.

But regardless, he is now the President-Elect, and at the moment of this writing is receiving intelligence reports from the White House in preparation of his transition to power.
Congratulations to him and his supporters. Now let's hope once and for all that this win by Obama will dispel the myth that America is racist country and indeed anyone can become president.
Obama said at his very impressive and wonderful acceptance speech that he wants to be everyones president, even those who "didn't earn his vote," and that he will gain their trust. Let's hope so. It was a speech full of grace and honor. He could very well have insulted President Bush and the Republican Party, but he didn't. Instead he honored America as the land of opportunity that it is and paid homage to the Founding Fathers dreams and ideals.

He has extended his hand, and this acceptance speech is a good start. I for one will give him the benefit of the doubt until he dishonors that pact. Sadly, I don't think it will take him long to do just that.
But, as of right now, he is the man. He will soon be the president and I will treat him as such.
By the way, the puppy comment was a nice touch.

I will support him when he's right and oppose him when he's wrong. I did the same for President Bush-at least during the last three years-up until he abandoned his conservative principles, both fiscally and socially.

I give Obama this credit because:
a) He is the next President of the United States and b) I refuse to sink to the level of the hate-filled left that derided, insulted, underestimated and misrepresented President Bush since day one, even after he extendedthe olive branch across the isle.

The President-Elect stated during his acceptence speech that "change has come to America." why would you change something you supposedly love is beyond me. Maybe an improvement is in order, but you only change what is bad. You don't change somethingyou claim to love.
In any case, Obama said he will bring together all Americans. People of all races, religion, sexual orientation and political ideology. I thought most of us were already brought together (regardless of the media fear-mongering and hype) but I guess it took the mighty Obama to really pull everyone together as one. It's going to be assured he says.

What also will be assured, accordinng to past election promises:

-unrestricted abortions, nation-wide, paid for by your tax dollars-even if you're against abortion-you're going to be paying for it.

-And with that, any baby that survives a botched abortion will still be sentenced to death (and any doctor or nurse that refuses to do so will lose his or her job) due to Obama's commitment against the "Born Alive Infant Protection Act."

-The abandonment of Israel.

-The handlingof kid-gloves, if not the downright apeasement of rogue nations and terrorist sponsor states such as Iran, Syria, venezuela, Russia and Cuba, among others. On this note, watch Vladimir Putin chew up Obama and spit him out a la Khrushchev/Kennedy.

-With Obama's promise to raise taxes on most small businesses-his promise of a tax cut for 95% of Americans is faulty at best and complete incompetence at worst, since approximately 35-40% of Americans don't pay taxes- so figure it out if you can. With this unemployment will rise as low as 10% and as high as 12% according to most economists. With his plan of "universal" healthcare, not only is there a definite possibility of a big chunk of the national treasury going away, but also a national financial depression, if you compound that with his promise of raising taxes in an ecomonic downturn.

-The regulation, if not absolute abolishment of conservative talk-radio due to the inevitable implementation of the "fairness doctrine."

-Forced taxation in the form of slavery reparations.

-Millions of wasted dollars on "global warming" initiatives.

-An untethered far-left liberal agenda-although not with a filibuster-proof congress.

-legalized gay marriages across the board.

-Terrorist attacks probably within the first six months of his administration to "test" his leadership and fortitude.

But with all that being said, hopefully President-Elect Obama will learn from the mistake of President Clinton and govern from the center. if you remember, Clinton tried to govern from the left and it cost him the majority of Congress.
So I will repeat what I have said in another post-as the late, great John Wayne said at Jimmy Carter's inauguration: I may be a part of the opposition, but I'm part of the loyal opposition.

Obama is soon to be the President of the United States, therefore he's my guy...for now.
So in closing, may I say congratulations to Barack Obama and his supporters for being the first black president.
And you may not believe this coming from me, but I sincerely mean this:
May God bless and protect the new president and may He guide him in his leadership and wisdom.

Canadian Troops Sieze Control Over Taliban Insurgents

Form a Story by Tom Blackwell
via Canwest News service (National Post)
November 1, 2008
Kandahar, Afghanistan

Canada's Afghanistan mission commander said on Oct. 31 that his troops have secured a series of important victories.

Brig. Gen. Denis Thompson says Canadians have eliminated Taliban commanders, seized bomb factories and broken up supply centers.
With help of Pakistani security forces on the border, Canadian forces plan to deny the insurgents their safe havens over the winter.

"We've faced some interesting challenges," he told reporters. "For every challenge, however, there are successes that we don't hear enough about . . . This summer we were able to significantly disrupt the insurgents' command and control network. Many of their mid- and senior-level commanders were neutralized, including several key IED experts."

Also,heavy-lift helicopters that Canada is expected to acquire from the U.S. by this January should tactically help "push troops deeper, with a larger force into insurgent country," he said.

Thompson went on to say that there is a ""perception" in Afghanistan that security is deteriorating due to a suicide-bomber that blew himself up inside a heavily-guarded government building in Kabul.

He blamed that sense in part on the Taliban's tactical shift to more bombings and other terrorist activity and less conventional warfare, though Canadian officers have been making much the same point for almost two years now.

Thompson also said that Afghan police have arrested three people thought to be responsible for several of the targeted assassinations that have terrorized Kandahar City.

Indeed, there have been setbacks recently, such as the brazen escape of 1,100 militants and criminals from a prison in Kandahar City in June and a subsequent assault by hundreds of insurgents just north of the city.

Elissa Goldberg, the top Canadian civilian official in Kandahar, conceded that the prison break was a "challenge and a setback."
She lists a "phenomenal" list of achievements Canada has made on the development front, including:

- The launch of a $50-million project to refurbish the Dhala irrigation dam;

- The establishment of a new police training center;

- Counter-IED tutoring for officers to help them respond more safely to roadside bombs;

- Work on 50 new schools, and plans to train 3,000 teachers over three years; and

- Enrolling another 7,000 Kandaharis in an adult literacy program.

Canada Serial Bomber on the Loose

This has been happening for a while now and I should have been posting on it sooner, but with election season going on and all-oh yeah, Canada had its own general election back on Oct. 14 and the Conservatives won another minority government, blah, blah, blah (by the way it only took about three or four weeks for the campaigns and decision....in contrast the American election quick wasn't it?)

But anyways, this "Pipeline Bomber" as he or she has been dubbed is serious. It's the third one now. Yes, we have our own domestic terrorists, too. However I doubt this one will end up as a University professor.

Palin Got Pranked

That's "pranked," not "punk'd".
Undoubtedly the lefties out there just itching to label her an idiot, like they do all Republicans, will jump on the content of this phone call as proof of that claim. And if it weren't for the fact she was laughing along with it all, as the audio portion of the call demonstrates, I might be inclined to agree with them.
Does anyone, even the most ignorant hate-filled extreme lefty think for a second that Palin really doesn't know that Stephen Harper is the Prime Minister of Canada? C'mon, get serious!

Yet, they have no trouble believing that the U.S. and France "kicked Syria out of Lebanon?" just because Joe Biden said so? Get real.
Your people's thought process should really be put under scrutiny more often. I mean, my God.
